Our Church, Planted for the Great Purposes of God

While most of the planned giving programs we conduct are on behalf of Anglican and Catholic Parishes we conduct programs for the Uniting Church too. There really isn’t any difference to speak of between denominations when it comes to stewardship. At a Uniting Church meeting and presentation at a large coastal city of northern New South Wales a committee member gave voice to matters that had no place in that particular meeting.

That sort of thing can happen in any parish and needs to be handled with a degree of sensitivity. The Minister answered the person concerned by reminding him that the Church was planted in that particular place and city for ‘The Great Purposes of God’ and that the meeting was about focusing on how the church might move ahead with its vision for the future. That planned giving program exceeded all expectations. “Lord may we have faith to believe that we shall reap if we faint not”.
